Emerald Coast Theatre Company Offers Cost Saving Specials
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) is reducing the per student price of its musical theater camps by $100. That is more than 25 percent savings off the original cost. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Announces $30 Million Expansion 
Leaders of Sacred Heart Health System announced plans today to launch a $30 million expansion of facilities and services at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. The expansion will increase the capacity of the Emerald Coast hospital for inpatient services, maternity services, emergency services, and pediatric services. Twin Cities Woman’s Club Donates Movie Night to CIC Kids
The Twin Cities Woman’s Club (TCWC) presented a donation of $500 to Children in Crisis to sponsor a Movie Night for the at-risk kids living at the CIC Children’s Neighborhood. The Movie Night complete with popcorn, will be enjoyed by over 30 kids. The Emerald Ballroom at the newly remodeled Hilton Sandestin was full of excitement on Saturday, April 4, at the Emerald Coast Top Salon event. YESS Program Equips Choctaw High School Football Team
On May 21, the Choctaw High School Indians became the first Okaloosa County High School outfitted with EvoShield’s next generation, high tech abdominal injury protection shirts funded completely by the Taylor Haugen Foundation and the Dugas Family Foundation grant. Thanks to the generosity of the Dugas Family, more than 100 Choctaw football players received the same compression rib shirts commonly worn by many professional and collegiate athletes, including Jadeveon Clowney and RG III. “Stamp Out Hunger” Collects More Than 157,000 Pounds of Food
United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties would like to express its sincere thanks to the entire Okaloosa and Walton communities for their response to the Annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive. The United Way received 157,823 pounds of food collected along mail routes in these two counties. That response was more than 9,000 more pounds from last year. For details, visit www.united-way.org.

Emerald Coast Exchange Club Helps Children in Crisis
The Emerald Coast Exchange Club of Ft. Walton Beach continued its great support to Children in Crisis by presenting a $1,000 donation to help feed, clothe and care for the children living at the CIC Children’s Neighborhood. The focus of this year’s contribution was prevention of child abuse and giving a home to those children who are victims. Expansion Grand Opening and Smoke on the Coast at Destin Commons
On July 3, from 1 – 10 p.m., have a fun-filled day and evening celebrating Destin Commons’ expansion grand opening with 22 more stores and restaurants, the 4th Annual Smoke on the Coast BBQ competition, kid’s activities, and street performers. Enjoy continuous live bands performing on two stages, including THE MAXX, Heritage, Jones & Company, Coconut Radio, and Chris Alvarado. Twenty area restaurants and BBQ aficionados will light up their grills to prepare their best dishes. Starting at 6 pm, for $1 per sampling, people get to vote for People’s Choice winners with proceeds benefitting military and local charities. The evening concludes with an Independence Day firework extravaganza.
