Learn About the Science of… Spirits
On May 15, enjoy the Science of… Spirits. Learn all about the science behind distilling with locals, Timber Creek Distillery. Taste a range of spirits including vodka, rum, and whiskey, while learning about the distillation process and what makes each spirit different. Light appetizers will be provided to pair with your tasting. A bus will be provided for $20 per person to assist guests in traveling from the Emerald Coast Science Center (ECSC) to Crestview. Tickets can be purchased with your event tickets, and bus tickets must be purchased in advance. Cost is $20 for ECSC members and $25 for non-members. Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and Twin Cities Hospital Host 5th Annual Community Health & Fitness Fair
Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and Twin Cities Hospital will host the 5th Annual Community Health & Fitness Fair on Wednesday, May 25, from 9 a.m. until noon, at a new location - the Niceville Community Center.  This Health & Fitness Fair is FREE and open to the public and offers a complimentary, light continental breakfast until 10 am. More than 40 vendors and multiple healthcare professionals will provide health information, educational materials, and basic health screenings for blood glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index, as well as injury assessments. Pirates on the Bay Poker Run
On May 14, Legendary Marine and LuLu’s will host the Pirates on the Bay Poker Run. Proceeds will benefit the Emerald Coast Autism Center. Winners will split a $2,500 cash purse. The event is family friendly and open to any and all boats. Sunset Bay Cafe Announces Dinner Service
Sunset Bay Cafe, located near the Linkside Conference Center in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, will begin serving dinner Thursday, May 12, at 4 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy Sunset Bay Cafe’s delicious new dinner menu Thursday, May 12, through Saturday, May 14, and the following week Thursday, May 19, through Saturday, May 21. Dinner will be served from 4 – 9 p.m. Reservations are not necessary for Sunset Bay Cafe’s dinner service, but suggested for large parties.
