Thank you to Eglin Federal Credit Union for sponsoring our June 9 Leaders in Business Lunch. Airmen and women served as celebrity waiters, and all tips were donated to Building Homes for Heroes. A total of $2250 was raised, which is being doubled to $4500 by an anonymous donor.
"Sponsoring programs that support the military who serve our country are near and dear to our hearts and are at the core of our foundation. In 1954, EFCU was chartered by a group of military and civil service personnel at Eglin Air Force Base. Sponsoring the Destin Chamber luncheon and helping to raise funds for Building Homes for Heroes was a great way to show our support within the community," explained ECFU President and CEO Jerry Williams. "We were very pleased with the results, providing a meaningful donation of $4,500 to support the home being built for Capt. Nathan Nelson and his family."
