On April 8, the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce presented a
$500 check to the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) in appreciation of its assistance
during the 2014 Destin’s Superhero Bayou, Bay, & Back 1-Mile Fun Run, 5K
Run/Walk, 10K, & Half Marathon. Almost 500 runners competed in the
event, now in its fourth year, and the CBA’s assistance was essential during
the race and in pre-event marketing.
Sarah Davis, CBA Fund Development and Marketing Officer, accepted the donation from Destin Area Chamber Chairman Amy Perry of Pleat, Perry & Ritchie, P.A., during the Chamber's April 8 Leaders In Business Lunch.

The CBA is
an organization committed to sustaining and providing optimum utilization of
the Choctawhatchee Basin watershed. Since the race courses offer sweeping
views of the Choctawhatchee Bay and waterways of Destin, the CBA is the perfect
partner for the race. The health of the area’s water resources is the
foundation of its identity and economy. Be it fishing, tourism, or
quality of life, everything revolves around a healthy watershed.
